INTRODUCTION:

  • The faithfulness of God
  • The sinfulness of man
  • Continue to hope in the LORD, because God is faithful.
  • Remember the faithfulness of God by proclaiming is wonderful power.

PROCLAIM THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD THROUGH HISTORY:

Vs 1-6. “Give ear — we will not hide.”

PROCLAIM HIS POWER OF FAITHFUL DELIVERANCE TO THE PROMISED LAND

Vs 12-13. “Marvelous things did he in the sight of their parents.”

PROCLAIM HIS PRESENCE, FAITHFUL PRESENCE PROTECTING ISRAEL

Vs 14. “In the daytime he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.”

PROCLAIM HIS PROVISION, FAITHFULLY PROVIDED WATER IN THE DESERT

Vs 15-16. “He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.”

PROCLAIM THE SINFUL LIFE OF HIS PEOPLE

Vs 17, 32-33, “And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the Most High” God

PROCLAIM HIS PROMISE OF FAITHFUL COMPASSION

Vs 38-39. “But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not.”

PROCALIM HIS FAITHFUL POSITION AMONGST HIS PEOPLE

Vs 69-72. “And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established.

SOME LESSONS LEARNED:

  1. God is holy, loving, and faithful. Vs 12
  2.  Man is a sinner, and not able to live without sin. Vs 19
  3. God who created man will punish sin. Vs 21-26
  4. Man should turn to God for mercy, grace, and compassion. Vs 72
