Psalm 85:1-7. (KJV)
God is One, Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. God does not change. He is immutable. His faithfulness is everlasting. God is faithfully eternal. This provides a foundation for understanding that man cannot be compared to God.

With the same token, mankind is therefore called upon in this prayer to make a wise life choice. The reason is that mankind is limited in comparison to who God is. Psalm 85 opens up with the clear understanding of who the LORD is, and more in terms of testimonies of his almighty works.
First, Moses in this prayer starts with the worship of the LORD, and continues by sharing testimonies of God’s favor, his grace by forgiving the iniquity of the people, his mercy by covering their sins, and withholding his wrath. It is obvious that Moses, being such a great leader, knew that prayer starts with worship, and continues with thanksgiving for the forgiveness of sins.
In verses 4-7, the Holy Prayer by Moses, the man of faith and the deliverer, turns to expressing his desires. The prayer warrior zeros in on his personal desperation for God’s intervention by pleading with God to minister repentance, crying in Vs 4, “Turn us, O God of our salvation…. cause thy anger toward us to cease.” Being desperate for God, and desiring the LORD to bless the Nation is an honest call for the salvation of lost souls. Moses calls on the LORD for a revival in the Nation when he prays the LORD to “Revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee.” vs 5-6. In verse 7, he passionately requests the salvation of God. “Grant us thy salvation,” O LORD.

Read about the TRUST [Vs 8-9] as he continues to express himself in: Vs 8. He is open and willing to “hear what God the LORD will speak.” And in Vs 9. He pleads to the LORD, “That glory may dwell in our land.”
The prayer concludes by focusing on the target of righteousness in vs 10-13, which includes righteousness and peace with God, vs 10; Righteousness coming down from heaven, vs 11-12; and righteousness setting us in the way of the LORD
